It only took us 4 years to build this website…

Yeah, we may seem brand new, but can you believe that the Storm Publishing Group first opened its doors in 2011? Of course, it wasn’t called the Storm Publishing Group back then, but our very first imprint–Blue Crown Press–published its first title what feels like a bzillion years ago.

Although Farsighted by Emlyn Chand is now (at least for a little while) unpublished, we’ve found over and over again that we just can’t quit the publishing game. And on January 1, 2015, we released the first 4 books from Novel Publicity Press. In May of 2015, Blue Crown Press reopened its doors with A Colorful Life from Melissa Storm. The month of July brought Partridge and Pear Press to life with even more books from yours truly. August is when a certain kook named Alex Westmore joined our ranks and made Broad Winged Books a thing, and that was when we also started Spectacled Owl Books for good measure–even though it has yet to publish any titles–but soon, soon, my pretties…

So, yeah, that all happened dizzingly fast and painfully slow–even though it doesn’t seem like both should be possible together. But, hey, we love contradictions, which is why we have a cat named Schrödinger and have named all our imprints after birds but have chosen to deck our site out in a clowder of cats.

So welcome to the future of the Storm Publishing Group. Because now that we have a website, anything is possible.

Melissa Storm

Melissa Storm is a mother first, and everything else second. She used to write under a pseudonym, but finally had the confidence to come out as herself to the world. Her fiction is highly personal and often based on true stories. Writing is Melissa’s way of showing her daughter just how beautiful life can be, when you pay attention to the everyday wonders that surround us. Many of her stories feature angels. She also writes nonfiction and children's books and prances around the interweb as Emlyn Chand.
