Submissions for The Not Alone Project

We are authors coming together to promote peace, love, and diversity for those who now feel afraid or unwanted in America and throughout the world.

  • Previously published work IS accepted
  • Submissions must be in English and written to the highest quality you are capable. Avoid passive voice. Consider making a pass with an editor before submission.
  • Maximum Word Count is 5,000, however if you have something perfect that’s over, check with us before giving up.
  • This is a CHARITY anthology so there is no payment.  All profits will be donated to The Trevor Project
  • Each author retains all rights to their story.
  • Open internationally, but submission must be in American English.
  • There is no fee to submit.
  • Multiple submissions accepted. Limit of two submissions per author.
  • Fiction, Non-Fiction, and Poetry will be considered. Any genre is fine.
  • Adult language and sexual situations are permitted but please keep to PG-13 reading level.
  • Submissions must be sent in by February 1 to be considered for the Jan 21st publication.
  • Additional anthologies in the series may be produced depending on how many quality submissions we receive.
  • Submissions may be sent in standard submission format or per the specs below:
    • WORD doc or docx
    • formatted with; 12pt Times New Roman with 1.5-line spacing; left justified with 0.3″ indents on the first line of each new paragraph (Do NOT use TAB)
    • no extra spacing between paragraphs
    • no headers/footers/page numbers
    • one space at the end of a sentence, not two.
  • Please include a letter from you personally to the reader discussing the theme of the anthology and why you want to be involved.  This should be positive and we don’t want any bashing of candidates or people. This is your opportunity to reach out to show your love and support and maybe even change some minds.  Please include your contact info and website if it’s not already included in your biography so readers can reach you.
